Signs of a Cheating Spouse
- Your spouse has unexplained absences. Everyone enjoys time away from home when they can pursue hobbies or hang out with old friends. But if your spouse has frequent absences for which he/she cannot offer a reasonable explanation, it's time to find out why. If a spouse is cheating, they will most likely do it during non working hours (unless it is a co-worker they are messing around with), mostly after work or at night. But keep in mind the occasional, "Nooner."
- Your spouse receives and make anonymous telephone calls. You walk in the room, your spouse quickly hangs up, or checks the caller ID and does not answer. Does your spouse sleep with their phone, bring it into the shower with them, lock down a password...these are all possible signs.
- Your spouse has lost weight, got in shape, dresses up when going out. Have you notice any new clothes, perfumes, cologne? When a spouse pays more attention to their appearance, it could mean that they are trying to impress someone else!
- Does your spouse have a history of infidelity? If so, sometimes it's tough to teach an old dog a new trick, and they could be up to their old habits. Be on the look out for fabricated stories, inaccurate activities. Use your gut, no one knows your spouse better than you do. If something smells fishy, it probably is!
- Have you found anything out of the ordinary? A piece of hair, a phone number, a smell of perfume or cologne on clothes, or lipstick on the collar? How about any unexplained receipts for restaurants or hotels? Check your credit cards!
- Does your spouse pick fights with you? Picking fights all of a sudden is a classic ploy -- this way if they ever get caught, your spouse can blame it on you and say you two were always fighting!
- Watch for a sudden change in your spouse's routine. Write down exactly when your spouse goes to work, goes to the gym, goes for lunch, etc. The routine may vary due to the work that your spouse does, so sometimes it is hard to tell. One telling sign is finding that s/he is going on more work trips, or working later hours than usual. Call your spouse's place of work when he or she is supposed to be there, and see if he or she picks up.
- Over jealous and accuses you of cheating!
- Mutual friends or family start acting weird around you.
- May bring that person up in a conversation, i.e. new friend, or work associate.
- People usually cannot make up whoppers of a lie. They will tend to mix in some truth with the lie. For example, Sally says she is going to stay overnight in XXX city with her girlfriends. Well, she may be staying overnight, but not with her friends. If a spouse starts making up too many lies, then the likely hood of them getting caught is much great. Hence, there is usually a mix of truths and lies.
- The radio station, or passenger seat position is changed since the last time you were in it.
- Starts putting password on everything.
- Suddenly very interested in YOUR schedule.
- Money in joint accounts is unaccounted for.
- Requests of you to try new clothes, hairstyles or sex acts.
- Erases browser history after computer use.
- Listen to your instinct, and what your gut is telling you. No one knows your spouse better then you. If something smells fishy, it probably is.
